Plaridel in day of mourning for 5 residents killed in plane crash


Plaridel town in Bulacan is in a day of mourning on Monday following the deadly plane crash on Saturday that killed five of its residents.

An Unang Balita report by Bam Alegre said the Philippine flag at the Plaridel municipal hall compound was at half-mast.

A Mass for the five dead residents of the town will be held at 11 a.m.

Among those killed in the crash were Rissa Santos dela Rosa, her mother Luisa Santos and children John Noel, 17; Timothy, 15; and Trish, 7, residents of Purok Tres, Barangay Lumang Bayan.

A six-seater Piper PA-23 Apache plane, owned by Lite Air Express, carrying five people crashed into their house before noon Saturday. The plane's five occupants were also killed in the crash.

The five residents will be laid to rest on Tuesday. —ALG, GMA News
