Duterte, family go on unscheduled Hong Kong holiday

President Rodrigo Duterte, along with his common-law partner Cielito "Honeylet" Avanceña and their daughter Veronica "Kitty" Duterte, were on holiday in Hong Kong Saturday night, a Palace official revealed.

In a post on his Facebook account, Special Assistant to the President Christopher "Bong" Go explained that he had revealed that the president had gone to Hong Kong to preempt "Fakenews" sites.

Go also revealed that the Duterte family flew to Hong Kong early Saturday morning, and they were to fly back home late Sunday evening.

At least two online sites had reported that Duterte was spotted in Hong Kong, despite the president's schedule having him home in Davao City on Saturday night. — DVM, GMA News
