Behold Boracay a month after gov’t shutdown


Without the thousands of tourists that used to crowd its beaches, Boracay now appears more like the island-paradise that it has been so branded through the decades.

Beyond the beachfront, however, the government continues to deal with the environmental problems that caused the island's shutdown while its residents and workers struggle with the sudden effects of their stalled livelihood.
