Cops identify 2 foreigners killed in Manila shooting incident

Police have identified the two foreigners who were killed in Manila shooting incident on Saturday morning.

Manila Police District spokesman Superintendent Carlo Manuel identified the victims as Yan Yi Shou, and Wu Huai Hong, Super Radyo dzBB said in followup report.

DzBB's Jonathan Andal said Huai Hong, 30, was staying at a hotel in Sta. Cruz, while Yi Shou, 35, was a resident in Binondo in Manila.

Supt. Manuel said they are verifying if Yi Shou is the same Chinese national who was arrested in 2016 during a raid on a shabu laboratory in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

A certain Yi Shou (alias Randy) was an alleged cohort of Marine Lieutenant Colonel Ferdinand Marcelino, who had been charged for possession of illegal drugs, but the court later dismissed the charges against him.

Earlier, dzBB reported that two Chinese men were shot to death at about 11:40 a.m. by two armed men riding tandem on a motorbike along Taft Avenue, near Araullo University.

Two lady bystanders (19 and 24 years old) were hit by stray bullets from the attack. The two were were immediately rushed to nearby Philippine General Hospital. —Margaret Claire Layug/LBG, GMA News
