Make P53,750 via the ‘ipon-shade’ challenge

A new money-saving challenge is making the rounds on social media, with the promise of making as much as P53,750.

A report on GMA News’ “Unang Balita” said Thursday the money-saving method uses a printed template covering a tin can—which serves like a piggy ba

The template indicates specific coins and bills to be saved and “shaded.” The method is flexible as there is no specific schedule to follow.

Tin cans covered by the template cost P70 to P100 per piece and can be bought through social media.

According to GMA Public Affairs show “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” the template was conceptualized by Sarah May Hallig-Palanca, a math teacher in Magallanes, Sorsogon. —Ted Cordero/VDS, GMA News
