Iloilo International Airport resumes ops after removal of disabled plane

Operations at the Iloilo International Airport resumed 2 p.m. on Monday following the removal of the disabled Cebu Pacific aircraft on one of its runways.

"The airport is now open for operations," the CAAP said in an advisory sent via text message.

This comes after an A320 aircraft of Cebu Pacific swerved to the left of Runway 20 during a landing on Friday, which led CAAP to suspend operations at the airport.

"Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines lifted the notice to airmen (NOTAM) at the Iloilo International Airport at 2:00 p.m. today," it said.

"Again, we thank the riding public and the affected passengers for their kind understanding," the CAAP said.

Cebu Pacific canceled seven flights and rescheduled at least five other flights on Monday. —KG, GMA News
