DOLE to hold job, business fairs on Independence Day


The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will hold 21 job and business fairs in over 14 regions in the country as part of the Independence Day celebration on Monday, June 12.

Jobseekers are encouraged to visit as this would fast-track their search for employment, Secretary Silvestre Bello said in a press release issued on Friday.

Applicants who are interested on being hired-on-the-spot should bring the following requirements: resume or curriculum vitae (bring extra copies for multiple job applications); 2x2 ID pictures; certificate of employment for those formerly employed; diploma and/or transcript of records; and authenticated birth certificate.

The job and business fairs will be held in these venues:

  • National Capital Region (NCR) – Senior Citizen’s Garden, Rizal Park, Manila
  • Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) – SM Baguio City
  • Region 1 – CB Mall, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan; Nepo Mall, Dagupan City; Candon Civic Center, Candon City, Ilocos Sur; Manna Mall, San Fernando City, La Union; Robert Estrella Gymnasium, Rosales, Pangasinan on June 13
  • Region 2 – Cagayan State University, Caritan Campus Gym, Tuguegarao City
  • Region 3 – Malolos Convention Center, City of Malolos, Bulacan; Robinsons Townville, Maharlika Highway, Cabanatuan City
  • Region 4A – Binangonan Municipal Hall, Binangonan, Rizal
  • Region 4B – Xentro Calapan Mall, Roxas Drive, Lumangbayan, Calapan City; Municipal Plaza, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
  • Region 5 – Daet, Camarines Norte
  • Region 6 – Marymart Mall, Iloilo City
  • Region 7 – Covered Court, Cebu City Sports Complex, Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City
  • Region 8 – Tacloban City Convention Center, Tacloban City; Catbalogan City Plaza, Catbalogan City Samar (June 15)
  • Region 12 - SM City of GenSan, General Santos City
  • CARAGA – Provincial Capitol, Butuan City (June 14)
  • Negros Island Region (NIR) – 888 Premiere Mall, Bacolod City
