Duterte appoints new deputy commissioners, district collectors at BOC

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed five new officials of the Bureau of Customs (BOC), including three deputy commissioners and two district collectors.

Citing separate letters signed on October 17 by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, the BOC noted on Friday the bureau's new officials:

  • Natalio C. Ecarma III – deputy commissioner, Revenue Collection Monitoring Group
  • Ariel F. Nepomuceno – deputy commissioner, Enforcement Group
  • Teddy Sandy S. Raval – deputy commissioner, Intelligence Group
  • Edgar Z. Macabeo – district collector, Port of NAIA
  • Vincent Philip C. Maronilla – district collector, Manila International Container Port

Macabeo was the acting district collector at NAIA, and Maronilla was the officer-in-charge of Import Assessment Service at the bureau's Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group.

Nepomuceno and Raval are returning BOC officials, according to the bureau.

Nepomuceno was also the Enforcement Group deputy commissioner of former Customs commissioners John Sevilla and Alberto Lina, while Raval was the former Enforcement and Security Service director during the time of Lina.

Ecarma, a retired major general, was a former undersecretary for Defense Operations at the Department of National Defense. — Ted Cordero/VDS, GMA News
