RCBC partners with Japan banks to support Japanese investors in PHL

Yuchengco-led Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. on Thursday said it formed a partnership with Saitama Resona Bank Ltd. The Kinki Osaka Bank Ltd. to support Japanese small and medium enterprises in the Philippines.
 
The Japanese banks are members of Japan's Resona Holdings Inc.
 
The partnership will provide financial services for Japanese SMEs operating in the Philippines as well as those planning to invest in the Southeast Asian country. Part of the partnership agenda is to advice the Japanese on investing and operating a business in the Philippines.
 
According to RCBC, its Japanese Business Relationship Office and its Japanese and Ecozone Segment specialize in dealing with banking needs of Japanese companies in the Philippines.
 
“The Philippines is seen as the perfect venue for potentially greater investments by Japanese companies given its stable economy, strong domestic consumption as well as a more cost-effective, English-speaking labor force, making the RCBC-Resona Group partnership even more beneficial for both banking groups,” RCBC noted in a statement. – VS, GMA News
