Gasoline, diesel prices up by more than P1.00 per liter on Tuesday

Pump prices of petroleum products are going up this week, following last week’s rollback by oil companies.

In separate advisories Monday, Flying V, SEAOIL Philippines Inc., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., and Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex) noted an increase per liter of gasoline by P1.10 and diesel by P1.20. These companies are also raising the price of kerosene by P0.95 per liter.

PTT Philippines Corp. and Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. are also implementing the same price adjustment, except for kerosene which the two oil companies do not carry.

The changes will take effect 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15.

Other companies have yet to announce any oil price adjustment for the week.

Data from the Department of Energy (DOE) showed the prices per liter of diesel in the country presently range from P39.05 to P45.13, gasoline from P48.15 to P58.15, and kerosene from P46.52 to P55.06. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
