Makati Shangri-La officially reopens today: Everything we know so far
Makati Shangri-La officially reopens its doors after two years of closure.
On Tuesday, the five-star hotel will begin welcoming guests with fresh beginnings and elevated stay experiences for visitors.
For its reopening, Makati Shangri-La has introduced the first-of-its-kind Horizon Club Business Rooms in the Philippines, which are equipped with a range of remote work-friendly amenities, including an adjustable standing table paired with ergonomic chair and fuss-free modern electronics such as dual-screen 4K monitors, speakerphone, mobile stands, and fast-charging cable adaptors.
Other hotel amenities like the Health Club also return to provide guests with state-of-the-art weight training and cardiovascular training systems and personal relaxation options, such as the jacuzzi and cold plunge.
Amenities like the outdoor pool, children’s pool, and tennis courts will also be ready for families who desire outdoor activities.
Meanwhile, the hotel spa is set to reopen in the first quarter of 2024.
For the food and beverage department, Makati Shangri-La’s iconic Lobby Lounge, the beloved Cantonese restaurant Shang Palace, and the hotel's signature grill restaurant Sage are all ready to serve guests with gastronomic delights.
Other dining establishments, such as Circles Event Café and Sage Bar, are slated to reopen in the upcoming months.
Makati Shangri-La announced its reopening in June this year. It temporarily closed its doors at the height of the pandemic in 2021, saying it was "part of a reorganization exercise."
