Discovering the secrets of Aran Cave
There are a lot of myths surrounding Kennon Road, the 33.5-kilometer highway connecting the provinces of La Union and Benguet.
During the time when Kennon Road was still being constructed, there were reports of missing construction workers, allegedly because of a giant living in one of the caves along the famous highway.
Up to now, many lives are lost and bodies still go missing on Kennon Road.
GMA News' Brigada dived into the home of the giant Aran to uncover the mysteries inside.
Spoiler: there is no giant, but there is something even better to be discovered inside Aran Cave — a hidden waterfall, clear waters, and breathtaking stalactite formations.
It's a 10-minute trek to reach the mouth of the cave. Entering and exiting the cave are an incredible challenge due to the tiny openings, the low dips, and the high rises.
Guests will have to crawl, climb, wade through chest-deep icy waters, and even rappel.
But the beauty of it is well worth making the trip for.
