The perfect staycation spot for ‘Lord of the Rings’ fans

"Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" fans need not stray farther than Antipolo to experience what it's like to live in the same world as Bilbo and Frodo Baggins.

The cozy rooms at Grounds Resort in Antipolo, Rizal look like they came straight out of the popular fantasy franchise.

Inspired by Hobbit houses, the small facade of the villas belie the spacious interiors once you step through the round doors. The rooms have earthy and rustic tones, and the resort boasts of a homey and peaceful ambiance.

Guests can hang out by the large swimming pool, and play board games such as sungka and chess.

The newly-opened resort can accommodate up to 15 persons, making it a wonderful place for a summer staycation with family and friends.
