Michele Gumabao stuns in her Sarimanok-inspired Filipiniana national costume
One word: Wow!
Michele Gumabao is currently in Albania where she is competing for the Miss Globe 2018 pageant.
On Instagram late Saturday, the athlete and beauty queen shared photos of her national costume: an elegantly detailed, sarimanok-inspired Filipiniana.
“Proud to be Filipina,” Michele began her post before crediting her wonderful team: Nat Manilag for designing the dress and the props, which he worked on together with Jayson Cedric, Niccolo Cosme and Eugene Herrera for the photographs, Carissa Cielo Medved for her makeup, and Dave Grona taking care of her hair.
According to Nat, the modern terno was inspired by the golden Sarimanok. The knee-high slit of the sheer tulle pencil cut skirt was masked by a ballskirt train.
The dress, which features “fully embellished hand embroidery” comes with a headdress and hand cuffs encrusted with Swarovski crystals and feathers.
Doesn't she look amazing?
Michele is vying for the Miss Globe crown, which has an online voting component.
The coronation night will be on October 21. — LA, GMA News
