When Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho aired a feature on victims of affordable cosmetic procedures in August last year, it put on the spotlight and in the open the hushed interest of Filipinos in plastic and/or cosmetic surgery and beauty procedures.

The story about Agusan del Norte residents nad gal pals Mina, Maui and Alvina who availed of cheek enhancements for just P500 a pop – a huge discount for a procedure that usually  costs P20,000-P50,000.

The video not only trended for weeks on end, it also became the fastest video of GMA Public Affairs to hit the 1 million mark on YouTube.
