Public warned against several Korean cosmetic products due to high antimony content

The FDA identified 12 Korean cosmetic products that are not allowed for distribution and sale in the Philippines, including:
These products were found to contain dangerous amounts of antimony, the exposure to which "can result to damages to the lung, heart muscle and liver."
Symptoms of antimony toxicity includes skin irritation, headache, nausea, vomiting, insomnia and abdominal pain among others.
The FDA urged the public to refrain from purchasing "unnotified and verified counterfeit cosmetic products", which could pose serious threats to the consumer's health. — LA, GMA News
