3 ways to keep stress away, according to Pia Wurtzbach
Pia Wurtzbach is no stranger to success and stress. After winning the crown, the beauty queen has led a high-paced lifestyle, shuttling from one country to another, hopping from one city to the next, jumping from time zones to time zones to fulfill her duties as Miss Universe.
Her reign might be over but the busy life has yet to end. Magazine shoots, TV appearances, product endorsements are all on her plate. How does Pia manage? The new endorser of Philip Stein watches gave us three tips:
1. Enjoy what you do. “My favorite time of day is when I start working,” said Pia who apart from everything in her plate, is also studying at the New York Film Academy. “When I’m doing video or photo shoots, I want the cameras to be rolling all the time. I keep the momentum. That’s how I work,” she adds.
2. Put family first. No matter where you are in the world, no matter what you are doing, your family will always have your back. Says Pia, “I have always put family first. I value them a lot. I respect them. I take care of them until now.” Her family’s in London and given her flurry of activities across time zones, Pia says it’s her Philip Stein watch, purchased when she was only 18 years old, that helps her. “The challenge is really the time difference. I have to check if their work hours. When they’re awake, I video call with them.”
3. Find your balance. Being based in Manila and Manhattan isn’t exactly a bad thing. Says Pia, she loves the bustle of Manhattan and feels ‘normal’ there. In Manila, she loves the food and the weather. Living in these two cities gives her the kind of balance that she needs. — LA, GMA News
