Solutions to small living spaces
Small spaces are slowly becoming the norm, with more and more Pinoys relocating to the city and living in condo studio units.
But small spaces don’t have to mean cramped lives. Below are three solutions to small spaces we picked up from a report on Unang Balita.
1. Use mirrors. They give the illusion of space.
2. Be creative with how you use furniture. According to Interior Designer Rheena Radan, certain types of furniture can double as storage. “Instead of buying a bed with a headboard, ginagawa naming storage yung headboard mismo, where you can put linens and pillows.”
3. Create space! Living in a studio unit? Build a makeshift bedroom by designing a double-decker furniture with your bed above. The space beneath your bed could be a living area or your desk, while the stairs leading up to your bed could double as storage.
