Prince Harry's ‘final call’ with ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy left her ‘in tears’ — report

The Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was a beautiful celebration of the "fiery power" of love, but there was plenty to see...especially with the help of the cameras panning and providing stills of people. 

The image of Chelsy Davy, one of Prince Harry's ex-girlfriends who attended the wedding, biting her lip and looking less than chipper went viral quickly. A source for the Vanity Fair provided context for her expression. 

According to a "family friend", Prince Harry and Chelsy had a "tearful phone call" prior to the wedding. 

"It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on. Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding. In the end, she went and promised Harry she wouldn’t try and gatecrash the party," the source was quoted as saying.

The source also said that despite reports that Chelsy was at the reception, she and Prince Harry's other ex Cressida Bonas did not receive invites to the party. However, the pair looked in high spirits when they arrived for the wedding itself.
