EXO’s D.O. ends military service, holds live chat with fans

On the same day of his discharge from military service, EXO member D.O. held a surprise livestream for his fans.

In the 35-minute broadcast on the V Live platform, he said he had returned safely from his duty and was happy to be back.

“So good. I think that says it all. So good. I’m sure all soldiers would feel the same way,” said D.O., whose real name is Do Kyung-soo.

The singer and actor revealed that he had started filming “The Moon,” a science fiction film which also stars Sol Kyung-gu.

On personal endeavors, D.O. said he’s taking guitar lessons and planning to venture on new music and an album.

“While I was in the army, there were so many things I wanted to do. I wanted to play the guitar and I’m getting lessons. Also, there is music I want to try out,” he said.

“I’m working hard on my album. The songs are ready, and now I’m working on the lyrics. When that’s done, I’ll have to record it.”

After the broadcast, D.O. dropped a live video version of his song “That’s Okay,” which was initially released on the day of his enlistment on July 1, 2019.

The song, which is written by the singer himself, talks about aiming for happiness by letting go of sad feelings.
