Rachel Peters is golden in her national costume for Miss Universe

Binibining Pilipinas Universe Rachel Peters paraded in her national costume for the preliminaries of the Miss Universe competition in Las Vegas on Saturday evening.

Peters was glistening as a golden Sarimanok, which the host said symbolizes "good fortune."

The Filipina beauty queen slayed the runway clad in a flaring gold one-piece swimsuit, a skirt that transfigures as wings and she finished her over-all look with a lavish headpiece.

It was designed by Filipino fashion designer Val Taguba, while her golden gladiator shoes was created by Jojo Baragais.

On her Instagram account she also shared a photo of herself in her national costume and in another post, side by side with her pageant sisters.
