By AYA TANTIANGCO, GMA News
Beauty queen Laura Lehmann bows out of the Miss World 2017 competition early.
The TV personality and former courtside reporter failed to make it to the Top 15, exiting just after making it to the Top 40.
However, Lehmann successfully campaigned to create a milk bank for the pediatric ward of the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center. She was in a five-way tie with India, Indonesia, South Africa, and Vietnam in the "Beauty with a Purpose" competition.
Manushi Chhillar of India was crowned Miss World 2017. She is the sixth beauty queen from India to win the title.
Andrea Meza of Mexico and Stephanie Hill of England were named first and second runner up respectively. — LA, GMA News
