Sirene Sutton fumbles during Bb. Pilipinas 2017 Q&A portion

Bb. Pilipinas candidate no. 13 Sirene Sutton—seen as one of the frontrunners before the pageant—faltered at the toughest portion of the largely anticipated competition: the question and answer portion.

During the pageant's coronation night at the Smart Araneta Center Coliseum in Cubao on Sunday evening, the 23-year-old beauty queen seemingly bowed to the pressure.

Asked if it was right that "parents demand support from children in exchange for raising them," Sirene took a moment to think it over.

Sirene then replied "No," but then asked for the judge to repeat the question.

On her second attempt to answer, Sirene answered yes then backtracked and said, "No, sorry," without expounding.

Hosts Xian Lim and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach then called on the next candidate to answer the next question.

Later, Pia addressed the audience and told them that what the candidates are going through are not simple.

Sirene was an early crowd favorite, drawing loud cheers from the audience during the swimsuit and evening gown portion.

The British-Filipina was also one of the top picks of pageant enthusiasts and blogs. She bowed out after making it to the Top 15. — BM, GMA News
