‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ introduces new heroine, Izzy
It seems like director Michael Bay has been reading feedback and has taken note of the allegations of sexism in the "Transformers" franchise.
Leading the action of his latest offering, "The Last Knight", is Izzy—a young girl who is determined to prove that running and fighting "like a girl" is not an insult.
In Izzy's world, Optimus Prime is gone and humans are at war with Transformers.
"Transformers: The Last Knight" is the fifth movie in the franchise and is a direct sequel for "2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction."
Izzy will be portrayed by Peruvian-American actress Isabela Moner. Joining her are Mark Wahlberg, Laura Haddock, Anthony Hopkins, Isabela Moner, Stanley Tucci, John Goodman, John Turturro, and Josh Duhamel.
"Transformers: The Last Knight" premieres in Philippine cinemas on June 21. — AT, GMA News
