Teri Malvar bags Moscow International Film Festival Best Actress award
Young Kapuso actress Teri Malvar earned more international recognition for her performance in the crime-drama "Hamog (Haze)", this time in the Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF).
Malvar, already the winner of the Screen International Rising Star Asia at the New York Asian Film Festival, won the Silver George best actress award on June 30.
"Hamog", meanwhile, won the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Golden Goblet award at the 2016 Shanghai International Festival.

Malvar had previously received local recognition for her role in the film where she plays one of four street kids fighting to survive at the Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival.
Director Louie Ignacio, who worked with Malvar in the film "Child Haus" (2015), extended congratulations to the actress on Facebook and gave her high praise.
"Ang pinakamagaling na aktres ng bagong henerasyon!" Ignacio declared.
At the age of 13, Malvar beat veteran actress Nora Aunor at the CineFilipino Festival 2013, with the jury favoring her performance in "Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita" over Aunor's in "The Story of Mabuti." — AT, GMA News
