Padre Pio relic to be brought to Manila Cathedral

After its visit to the University of Santo Tomas (UST), the incorruptible heart relic of  Padre Pio is scheduled to be brought to the Manila Cathedral on Tuesday.

A farewell mass was held at the Santisimo Rosario Parish inside the UST campus before the transfer of the relic to the Manila Cathedral.

"After ng 7:30 a.m. Fr. Louie Coronel, parish priest, said in an interview on Unang Balita on Tuesday.

Coronel said more than 60,000 devotees have flocked to UST since Monday noon, adding that the Italian priests who brought the relic were astonished at the faith of the Filipinos.

The heart relic will also visit the Cebu Cathedral from October 11 to 13.

It will also stay in Davao Cathedral from October 14 to 16.

The report said the heart relic will stay in the country until October 26.
