At Art in the Park 2018, something for everyone
Never mind the heat. That seemed to be on everyone's mind on Sunday morning as people streamed into Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village, Makati City for the 12th Art in the Park.
It was just a little past 11 a.m. — a mere one hour after the art fair opened — but lines were already forming at the cashiers' booths. Clutching white papers bearing artworks' titles, people patiently lined up, eager to go home with an artwork or two. Or even more.
That's because true to form, this year's Art in the Park has made available artworks that are not only affordable but also unique, making it possible for anyone to start collecting art if he hasn't done so already.
Artists and gallery owners were right there spread out at the 59 various booths, and one could easily chat with them and ask what their art philosophy is, how much the artworks were, and even what they got for lunch at the various interesting food stalls around.
Check out a few photos from the event below:
Whether you want to start small as a collector, or you are a longtime art patron, there really is something for you here — even for those who just need an hour or two of viewing, a slice of pizza margherita, a glass of wine (or ice cool lemonade or beer), or jazz. — LA, GMA News
The one-day Art in the Park is at Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village, Makati City up to 10 p.m. on April 15, 2018.
