Slideshow: UST ushers in its 5th century in Paskuhan 2011

Even with the phone signal jam in the area each year, the crowd that troops to the 400-year-old University of Santo Tomas for its annual Christmas celebration, “Paskuhan," only grows bigger.   Themed “Pagsalubong para sa ikalimang siglo," the 20th installment this year gathered around 100,000 people—Thomasians and non-Thomasians alike—for a night of camaraderie, songs, prizes, fireworks, and Christmas cheer.   UST, known as the oldest university in Asia, began its quadricentennial celebrations at last year’s “Paskuhan."
