Ochoa takes 1st-round lead at Fields Open

KAPOLEI, Hawaii - Lorena Ochoa shot an 8-under-par 64 on Thursday to take a one-stroke lead in the LPGA Tour's Fields Open. Seon Hwa Lee and Wendy Ward were tied for second. Karen Stuples was two strokes back after a 66 on the 6,519-yard Kolina Golf Club course. Teenagers Michelle Wie and Morgan Pressel were among a group of nine golfers three strokes back. Natalie Gulbis, Hee-Won Han, Juli Inkster, Nicole Perrot, Heather Young, Cristie Kerr and Michele Redman also shot 5-under 67. -AP
