The full version of AlDub’s ‘Tayong Dalawa’ commercial shows the incredible chemistry between Maine and Alden
A 30-second commercial reuniting Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards captured our Thursday, plastering a silly smile on our faces all throughout the day.
Fans and insiders insisted this morning that McDonalds was going to release a full version of the commercial later today, and the fastfood chain delivered.
At 6pm on their social media accounts, a one-minute version of the commercial was uploaded and allow us to tell you: That chemistry between Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards is insane.
The full version showed the back story of the original 30-seconder video — with behind-the-scenes footage, intimate scenes, and AlDub’s signature wacky moves between the two that endeared them to audiences three years ago.
If the earlier version made us smile, this one made us shed a tear.
The story seems to follow the real-life narrative of Maine and Alden, who have been working on separate projects lately, making the commercial hit a little too close to home.
"Tayong Dalawa" features a reworked version of the Eraserheads song “Minsan,” which was sung by Jeffrey Hidalgo – yes of Smokey Mountain fame. The rearrangement was done by Thyro Alfaro of Loudbox.
The whole commercial was directed by Joel Limchoc of Film Pabrika and produced by Steve Vesagas. Leo Burnet is the creative agency.
Twenty-four minutes after it was uploaded on YouTube, the full version has already generated over 4,000 views and 150 comments. — LA, GMA News
