Teaser for a new AlDub commercial

Fans are in a frenzy on social media over a teaser for a new commercial featuring Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.

The phenomenal AlDub pair was the subject of a tweet by McDonald's Philippines with the caption: "Dahil bagay na bagay – di mo basta mapaghihiwalay. Sa August 2 na."

The tweet garnered more than 16,000 likes and more than 8,000 retweets a day after posting.

Alden and Maine are currently busy with different projects — his primetime series Victor Magtanggol premiered this week, while she is set to star with Vic Sotto in a movie for the Metro Manila Film Festival.

But the two remain supportive of each other, with Maine posting a message to mark Victor Magtanggol's pilot episode.

Alden, meanwhile, has said that fans can look forward to more AlDub projects in the future. —JST, GMA News
