James Yap posts a birthday message for Bimby

"I miss you and think about you everyday."

That was the message written by James Yap for his son Bimby, who turned 11 on Thursday.

The two-time PBA Most Valuable Player took to Instagram to send his thoughts to his son, who he acknowledged he had not seen in a while.

 

Happy birthday Bimb! I miss you and think about you everyday. Alam ko na ang tagal na natin di nakapagspend ng time together, at di nagkikita, but i want you to know that I’m always here for you. I will always be your papa. I hope you enjoy your birthday! ??????????????????????

In a since-deleted Facebook post last year, James' ex-wife and Bimby's mother Kris Aquino lashed out at the basketball star for not exerting effort to get closer to their son.

James is currently expecting his second child with Italian girlfriend Michaela Cazzola. Their first baby MJ was born in 2016. —JST, GMA News
