Agot Isidro debunks another fake news item about her

It looks actor Agot Isidro isn't getting tired of fighting fake news.

The popular Duterte critic on Twitter Tuesday once again debunked a fake news item about her.

Attaching a screengrab that prominently featured an article with the title “ANTI TO PRO?: Agot Isidro humingi ng tawad sa kanyang post,” Isidro clarified in Filipino that no such thing happened.

“Sa pagkakaalam ko, wala naming ganitong nangyari. Nagulat din naman ako.”

The article surfaced on Monday in a dubiously named website called ‘Blog di latestdutertenews’. In the article, the actress was quoted to have tweeted: “sorry I was wrong to side to the opposition party. I’m sorry.”

The article garnered more than 72 comments that showed mixed reactions of readers. Some called out the article for being fake news, others decided to forgive Agot, while others still heaved a sigh of relief: "Salamat at nagsorry na rin siya."

Isidro is a vocal Duterte critic who last year called the president "a psychopath." She's been a subject of fake news items, which Isidro has been diligently fighting. — LA, GMA News
