Ipinakilala nitong Martes ang "star-studded" cast na magbibigay-boses sa mga pangunahing karakter ng kauna-unahang Filipino anime series na "Barangay 143."

 

 

Si Migo Adecer ang magiging boses ni Bren T. Park, ang binatang Koreano na maghahanap sa kaniyang ama at mapapadpad sa Pilipinas.

 

 

"The first time that I heard about 'Barangay 143' was when they gave me a background of the anime. And since I'm like a big anime geek, as in I don't go outside, I watch anime," sabi ni Migo sa press conference ng programa na ginanap nitong Martes ng gabi sa Quezon City.

"I saw the character, I saw his traits, I saw his values... It shows the properties of any lead character which is showing good morals, very relatable to the audience," dagdag pa ni Migo.

Nanonood na rin daw noon si Migo ng ilang Japanese anime at naglaro ng ilang Japanese video games.

Bobosesan naman ni Ruru Madrid si Wax, isa rin sa lead character sa serye.

 

 

"Actually I'm very happy to be part of this project kasi this is the first time na Japan and Philippines na mag-collaborate through an anime series. I'm also a fan of anime and basketball," ani Ruru.

Kuwento ni Ruru, ito ang pangalawa niyang beses na mag-dub. Nag-dub na siya noon sa "Bleach the Movie."

"Sobrang fan talaga ako ng anime. So when I auditioned for this role, nu'ng binabasa ko pa lang 'yung script, umiyak ako sa eksena... Sabi ko 'Siguro ito na 'yung kailangan kong ipakita para makuha agad nila ako," sabi ni Ruru.

Bibigyang-buhay naman ni Julie Anne San Jose si Vicky, ang babaeng magpapatibok sa puso ni Wax. Gayunman, si Bren ang iniibig ni Vicky pero magbabago ang kaniyang pagtingin dahil sa kaniyang matutuklasan.

 

 

"Very, very excited ako kasi it's my first time also to do a voice acting. Hindi ko lang po sure kung ano 'yung kaibahan niya or there's a similarity sa pagkanta because I sing also and I act. And I think sobrang nakaka-overwhelm kasi napabilang po ako sa stellar cast [ng Barangay 143]," sabi ni Julie.

"Ito pong project, first time sa akin mangyayari kasi kailangan kong i-emphasize lalo 'yung boses namin," sabi pa ni Julie.

Si Kelley Day naman ang magiging boses sa Koreanang si Jinri.

 

 

"As for being a Korean specifically as Jinri, I think it could have been any other nationality and I would have been okay to do it," sabi ni Kelley.

Nag-audition daw si Kelley para sa role ni Jinri nang malaman niyang tungkol sa pag-ibig ang ipinaglalaban ng karakter.

"When I read the script and the character description as being someone who fights for love, I was like 'This is me, this is all I do in my life, it's all about love," sabi ni Kelley.

Si John Arcilla naman ang magboboses kay Coach B, ang magiging coach ng bidang team sa series.

Ayon sa aktor, siya ang magiging "life coach" ng mga nasa team, kabilang na si Bren.

 

 

"It was really so easy for me. I don't know why it was so easy and exciting. I have two reasons why. The second reason is actually, we are using our voices without looking at the anime. We're not looking at the caricature itself, we're reading the script, we're just supplying the real emotion... So it's the other way around. The character or the cartoon will follow the emotion that we are trying to supply," sabi ni John.

"The first was, nu'ng pumasok kasi ako sa pag-aartista, we still have this dubbing eh, we dubbed. I really enjoyed dubbing ever since that I did, most especially you can cure emotions that you are not currently feeling. Sometimes you are not so into your chemistry when you're doing a scene, but you can cure it during the dubbing," ayon pa kay John.

Kasama rin sa cast ang batikang aktres na si Cherie Gil, na magbibigay ng boses kay Sophia, ang magiging nanay ni Wax (Ruru), at kontrabida sa serye.

 

 

"It's not easy. Actually it's the first time I'm doing something like this... especially because we do not actually see who we are voicing. Because I think anime is rendered after the voice, and I'm basically talking to myself," sabi ni Cherie.

"So from the trailer, it's a little bit, it's silliness, it's silly talking to the microphone, and I'm having a lot of fun," ayon pa kay Cherie.

Bobosesan naman ni Paolo Contis si Koboy, ang magsisilbing kuya at best friend ni Vicky (Julie) na miyembro ng katunggaling team sa series.

 

 

"Sobrang ibang experience siya. Naniniwala ako na sa character ni Koboy is kuya, caring, pero siyempre, bargas, funny. Hindi ako sanay na wala akong kabatuhan, so it's a challenge for me na maging effective 'yung character, na mag-isa kang magda-dub," sabi ni Paolo.

Si Raver Eda ay si Buchoy.

 

 

"Masaya po ako kasi kahit bata po ako, kasama pa rin po ako sa anime na 'to. Mas lalo ko pa pong gagalingan," sabi ni Raver.

Kasama rin sa cast si Sylvia Sanchez, na bobosesan si Tita Baby. Si Tita Baby ay magiging barangay captain na magsisilbing ina sa bidang team.

"This is harder, because this is voice acting. You imagine, you visualize. On screen, you have your co-actors to interact it. Dito, wala, nada, mag-isa ka lang. Ang hirap no'n, mag-isa ka lang umaarte, but you give the same intensity of emotions," sabi ni Sylvia.

Ipapalabas ang "Barangay 143" sa Oktubre sa GMA.-- FRJ, GMA News
