GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF), the socio-civic arm of GMA Network, successfully held the first leg of its biannual "Sagip Dugtong Buhay Project" on February 15, collecting a total of 1,907 blood bags through its generous donors and supporters.

GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF), the socio-civic arm of GMA Network, successfully held the first leg of its biannual "Sagip Dugtong Buhay Project" on February 15, collecting a total of 1,907 blood bags through its generous donors and supporters.

Now on its 29th year, "Sagip Dugtong Buhay" has helped over 215,000 individuals in need of blood, according to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

Leading the bloodletting project at Ever Commonwealth in Quezon City were GMAKF Special Adviser Ms. Mel Tiangco and GMAKF EVP and COO Rikki Escudero-Catibog.

Joining them were PRC Secretary-General Gwendolyn Pang, PRC Quezon City Chapter Chairman Gov. Ernesto Isla, and Assistant Secretary General and Director of National Blood Services. Representing Ever Gotesco Commonwealth were Joshua Rueben Aragon of Go Tong Foundation, VP for Marketing of Ever Group Lourdes Ortiga, VP for Operations Evelyn Go, and Operations Manager of Ever Department Store Dolly Floriaga.

 

GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) held the “Sagip Dugtong Buhay” bloodletting project on February 15 at Ever Gotesco Mall in Quezon City.

"Sagip Dugtong Buhay" is a biannual bloodletting project of the GMA Kapuso Foundation. Held in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross and Ever Commonwealth, it encourages individuals to donate blood to help save and extend the lives of people in need.
