1. He appreciates art and is most fascinated with skin art.

Mark Anthony shares, “I have nine tattoos. I started getting them when I was a teen. My favorite tattoos are my Chinese character tattoos because they inspire me and bring me good luck.”

2. He loves eating anything tomato-based.

“I like mechado, afritada and menudo. If I were to eat those everyday, I’d be so big right now. I love them,” Mark Anthony declares.

3. He is a health and wellness buff.

The secret to being gwaping, he says, is “You have to take care of yourself. Eat right, work out, have a good disposition and visit your dermatologist once in a while. It’s okay to be a bit vain. It’s okay from men to be Metro[sexual].”

4. He is into literature and philosophy.

“I learn a lot from Classical philosophers and writers. I’m a fan of Aristotle and Shakespeare, but my favorite is Plato,” Mark Anthony states.

5. He can still make action work.

Mark Anthony shares, “I really wish they could give me a Rambo-like story. Maybe they’re thinking that I’m quite old. I want them to think that I’m younger. I could still make action work.”

6. He consides being a Gwapings member to be his most memorable showbiz experience.

“The privilege of being a Gwapings member was meeting Direk Joey Reyes, one of the premier writers and directors here in Asia. I met Douglas Quijano whom I learned a lot from. Joe Carreon is my favorite. I wouldn’t have met those mentors if I wasn’t a Gwapings member,” Mark Anthony stated.

7. His biggest inspiration is his late father, actor Rudy Fernandez.

Mark Anthony recalls, “My daddy guided me all the way. Because he was an actor, he made it a point to spend time with me and teach me things about being an actor. I was lucky enough to have his time. He helped me a lot.”
