A car racing enthusiast, actor Jomari Yllana returned to the sport after more than 10 years. Unfortunately, something went wrong with his vehicle, causing a collision to transpire.

During the first race, everything was going well for Jomari. He even landed on 2nd place. However, during the main race, the actor got into an accident. Jomari was in 2nd place in the race until he lost control of his vehicle.

He shared to Lhar Santiago of Balitanghali, “Something went wrong with the brakes. Pumepreno naman, pero may wobble. I could go race pa, laban pa, pero may impact, eh. May bangga sa harap.”

Despite the accident, Jomari pushed through with the race and finished it. He mentioned that he was inspired because for the first time ever, his mom came to support him and watch his race. His former partner, Aiko Melendez and their son, Andrei were also there to give moral support.

Like Jomari, his son Andrei is also interested in car racing.

Jomari said, “Dumating man ang araw na ito talaga ‘yung piliin niyang propesyon, ang gusto namin, handa ako. ‘Yung unang eskwelahan ng Yllana racing, ang unang estudyante ay iyong anak ko.”

Andrei said that he wants to pursue car racing after high school. Meanwhile, his dad Jomari is busy with a new project. He will be appearing in the GMA Afternoon Prime series, The Half Sisters.

The actor was all praises for the show’s lead star, teen actress Barbie Forteza. He said,“Tuwang-tuwa ako sa kanya. Mabait na bata, magaling na artista at saka ang cute-cute ng mukha, parang anak-anakan talaga.”

Panoorin ang kabuoang ulat ng Balitanghali.
