Tia Pusit fighting heart, kidney ailments in the hospital

Children and relatives of Tia Pusit are asking for prayers and help for the comedienne, who is set to undergo a heart bypass while also battling a kidney ailment and blood complications.
 
Startalk reported that Tia Pusit, 66, has been in the hospital for a month after falling ill last April.

Quoting one of Tia Pusit’s children, the show said the actress has gotten out of intensive care but her operation has been postponed due to anemia.

Actress Nova Villa, the sister of Tia Pusit, told Startalk that the comedienne undergoes dialysis every other day.

“We’re just waiting for the doctor na sabihin na oras na para operahin, (heart) bypass,” she said.

Startalk said Tia Pusit needs P400,000 for her operation.

In a text message to the show, the actress’ siblings and children thanked those who have given help, prayers and pledges.

“She has been receiving bags of blood for her anemia, dialysis for her acute kidney failoure, medications to control her hypertension. She is supposed to undergo a hybrid procedure for her aortic aneurysm which costs a lot. This is what we have been busy with -- finding resources, kind people to help her get this surgery,” they said.

Tia Pusit’s relatives admitted that while they need all the help they could get, “we would like to do it in our own dignified way.”

“Thank you for your understanding prayers and help po. Someday your Tiya Pusit will come out and thank you personally. God bless us all,” they added. - RB
