Benjamin Alves is still GNEA Ambassador for the fourth year
Kapuso actor Benjamin Alves enters his fourth year as GMA Network Excellence Award (GNEA) Ambassador after signing the Memorandum of Agreement on Thursday, March 28.

Present during the event were GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier Cruz, GMA Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, and Benjamin's manager, Jonas Gaffud.
In an interview after the signing, Ben shared how involved he is with GNEA.
"Every year sinusubukan ko po to find ways to connect with the students.
“This year we were able to, with the help of GMA Regional TV, do their Kapuso Masterclass Campus Tour.
“I've been able to spread the word for GMA Network Excellence Award sa Cebu, Iloilo, Bukidnon, and Davao.
“It has been great. The more years that passed, the more involved and creative we have been to connect with the students."
He is also looking forward to becoming one of this year's panelists again, saying that this is one of his favorite parts as ambassador.
"If they'll allow me in both panels, then I'll do it,” Benjamin said.
“But of course, for information technology, we have very capable and qualified individuals for the panel. That's my favorite part actually.
“Apart from being able to go around the schools, it's being able to talk to the panelists.
“Hopefully, 'yung ginawa naming campus tour, [makatulong para] mas marami pa ang mag-apply."
The campus tour has also been a learning experience for the actor.
"It has been a learning experience for me as well. I have to formulate and make my own presentations.
“Also 'yung Q&A panel, it's nice to see kung ano ba 'yung concerns and the voice of this upcoming generation."
Atty. Gozon is likewise delighted to have Benjamin on board for the fourth time.
"Apat na taon na siyang ambassador, and he has been a very appropriate choice dahil sa tunay na buhay, si Benjamin ay hindi lamang artista kundi scholar.
“Cum laude 'yan eh, so dapat 'yan maging example hindi lamang sa mga artista, kundi pati sa mga estudyante."
