Rhian Ramos has a message for those who showed support after sexual harassment incident

Rhian Ramos is grateful to everyone who expressed their support to her after she shared her story of sexual harassment that she had faced recently.
The incident happened inside the bar where she encountered a man who tried who grabbed her back. She disclosed, "Some guy was out, partying a little too hard and goes up to me and squeezes my rear.”

In her new post, Rhian divulged that she is thankful for getting the support from her followers in social media.
Rhian started, "I'd like to thank all the people who, either through DM or comment, shared their stories."
She continued by expressing shock over the fact that a lot of people went through the same ordeal that she went through.
"I'm shocked at how often it happens and how similarly we've felt when it did. We all seem to have our own reasons for why we did nothing, because of shock, shame, you thought you could have been blamed, fear that no one would believe you, not wanting to make a scene, or maybe you were abroad and could have gotten into trouble."
Rhian further explains the vulnerability a person feels when trapped in the middle of uncomfortable situation.
"It just always seems that somehow, doing something comes with the possibility of it backfiring at you.. and let's face it, these incidents are so common and casually thought of that, if someone were to make a "big deal" out of it happening to her, that's exactly what people would think: that she's just making it a big deal. Isn't it crappy how unhelpful we've become. I'm inspired by the women who never got the chance.”
Finally, Rhian made a promise to the people who showed their support and shared their stories to her. She said, “Thank you again for sharing, and I promise to do something about this problem. So many thanks to all who have called and offered to help me with this. In terms of media [and] social media, for now I'd like to return to regular programing. I'd like to encourage everyone to protect one another though. Kindness and respect makes all the difference."
