READ: Solenn Heussaff weighs in on what it takes to be an "It" girl
Read on about the reason on why she and her friends are labeled as such.
While at the launch of "It Girls on E," Solenn Heussaff's newest show with Isabelle Daza, Georgina Wilson, and Liz Uy, they were asked why people labeled their girl squad as the "It Girls."
"They started calling us the It Girls awhile back, I think it's because our barkada of girls are all kind of successful in our own way but we're all genuinely really close friends. We don't try to overstep each other or anything," the Kapuso actress said.
By definition, an "It" girl is considered as "a young woman who has achieved celebrity because of her socialite lifestyle." While it somewhat applies to Solenn and her friends, they have definitely proved that they have so much more to offer aside from their good looks.
But do these girls feel any pressure for being under media spotlight and public scrutiny so much?
"I don't think we're really pressured [and] that's probably why we're called "It" girls because we just wake up and do our thing," Solenn answered, "The moment you start trying too hard then it's a downfall from there."
On the subject of pressure, Belle also weighed in and said that, "We don't wake up and think 'What does an "It" girl eat today?' You know what I mean? We just do our own thing and people are interested. It's also not taking yourself too seriously and trying to be someone you're not."
