Maritoni Fernandez releases official statement on sister's death related to drugs

News broke Sunday morning, September 11 that actress Maritoni Fernandez’s sister, Aurora Moynihan, was shot dead and was left with a placard saying “Drug pusher ng mga celebrities.”
The body was already cremated, but further investigations are being conducted on the case. The Kapuso actress earlier refused to be interviewed, but an official statement was released in Unang Hirit today, September 13.
She said, “We as family have one priority and truth at this point in time and that is to protect her children from further pain and suffering.”
The Moynihan family wish to mourn privately, “We as family may take this time to grieve, mourn but most of all celebrate the life of this exceptional human being I will forever have the privilege of calling my sister.
“We ask the public at this time to respect our need for privacy so that we may continue to heal in our own way.
“We will give due diligence to the investigation process by not making any further statements that may jeopardize the integrity of this inquiry,” the actress concluded.
