Since she was crowned in the country last year, her stay is nothing short of “amazing.” The Australian beauty told GMANetwork.com in an exclusive interview, “Last year when I was here, I did get a small sense of the culture. I fell in love with just that small little glimpse so I was really excited to come back and learn more about it.”

She also mentioned the warm hospitality of the Filipinos, “After I was crowned, I was at the airport and I didn’t have my crown and sash on because I just wanted to lie low, but people knew who I was. It was just so humbling to me to know that even though I’m not from the Philippines, I was treated as one of them which is really nice.”

Jessica describes her Miss Global experience as “an incredible adventure” for having travelled the world to see different countries, learn various cultures, and meet new people. But the most exciting part for her is the humanitarian work.

“That’s really something I’m passionate about [because I] had the opportunity to spread the awareness, and that’s what the Miss Global pageant is about. It’s about giving back and empowering women [by] giving us the chance to do something good and give back to those who need it the most,” she added.

The reigning beauty queen also feels positive about the upcoming pageant, “I think it will be bigger and better, and it’ll just be that next step that the overall organization is [going to] take in terms of evolving and becoming one of the best pageants in the world.”
