EXCLUSIVE: Solenn Heussaff reveals how she chooses TV and film projects
“Every time I get a script, first thing I do, [whether] for movie or teleserye, I scan to see how many crying scenes." - Solenn Heussaff
Kapuso actress-host Solenn Heussaff admitted that she prefers doing comedy over drama. She revealed a particular habit she has when a role is offered to her.
“Every time I get a script, first thing I do, [whether] for movie or teleserye, I scan to see how many crying scenes. Sa movie, kapag more than one, ayaw kong kunin 'yung film kasi alam ko na ’di ko kaya,” she said.
She, however, shared that she wants to learn how to shed tears for scenes easily and it still doesn’t come naturally to her, unlike other artists.
“I want to learn, I really want to. It’s just that… it’s going to take a lot of time so mas comfortable ako [talaga] sa comedy. I know my limitations. I don’t want to not learn. It’s just that it’s nakaka-stress especially when I’m with people na alam ko na sobrang bilis 'yung crying scenes nila so I don’t wanna be a cause of delay,” she added.
That said, she is having a blast being part of the sexy sitcom A1 Ko Sa ‘yo. She enjoys being around her fellow cast members and witnessing so much talent in one show.
“Super funny, parang natural dun sa set. Everyone is a comedian in their own right and state of being. It’s so easy to feed off of them… It’s [also] just amazing for us and for the show na [we have Jaclyn Jose na] first ever Filipina Cannes Best Actress… She’s so natural. Siya and si Gardo [Versoza are so funny]… Magkaibigan talaga sila. 'Yung chemistry nila is [undeniable],” she declared.
