GabRu will be starring in a political romantic-comedy mini-series aiming on the 2016 Philippine Elections. "It's a two-week special, political rom-com series na magbibida po kami. It's called Naku Boss Ko. Actually, it's a series from GMA News [TV] pero sa GMA Telebabad siya ipapalabas," Kapuso teen star revealed.
According to the GMA stars, it's been a while since they had a romantic-comedy project, and they can't wait for their comeback on the small screen. "[We already had the] meeting story [conference]. Andun na lahat [at] sinabi na rin kasi sino [ang] cast [at ano ang] story. This March 1st 'yung first shooting date," the former Let the Love Begin leading man said.

Gabbi said their newest project will help educate voters in today's generation, "Maganda siya kasi first time na ire-relate 'yung politics sa rom-com para maintindihan din siya ng mga young voters natin."
The story will revolve on "two star-crossed lovers from competing political affiliations and opposing economic status." The Kapuso stars will show where their relationship stands in the middle of the "contentious" election season.
"Ito 'yung last chance nila para mapag-isipan nila kung sino dapat ang kanilang iboto sa eleksyon," Ruru concluded.
They will be joined by veteran actors Leo Martinez and Tessie Tomas and newcomer Arianne Bautista, from the direction of the award-winning director Marlon Rivera.
Catch Naku Boss Ko this coming April, replacing Korean television series Temptation before Saksi.
