AlDub and other Kapuso celebs dominate the 2016 Box Office Entertainment Awards
The official list of winners in the 47th Box Office Entertainment Awards of Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF) is now out!

2016 is shaping up to be another banner year for the Kapuso network after the official list of winners in the 47th Box Office Entertainment Awards of Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF) was released yesterday (February 21). The awards night will be held on April 17 (Sunday) at the Kia Theater Araneta Center in Quezon City.
The phenomenal kalye-serye couple Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza bagged several awards in the 2016 Box Office Entetainment Awards. They were recognized as Breakthrough Male and Female Star of Philippine Movies and TV.
In addition, the Pambansang Bae will also receive an award as Breakthrough Recording/Performing Artist for his triple-platinum album under GMA Records titled Wish I May.
Meanwhile, Philippine Queen of Comedy Aiai Delas Alas and Bossing Vic Sotto were hailed as the Box Office King and Queen this year for their movie, My Bebe Love #KiligPaMore.
Kapuso celebs and shows, certified winners
The longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga will also receive two awards this year. They bagged the award for Most Popular TV Program Noontime/Musical Variety and the special award for Highest Record Rating of a Noontime Show of All Time for their "Tamang Panahon" benefit concert last October 2015.
Moreover, the trio of Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros will get the Bert Marcelo Lifetime Achievement Award.
Kapuso leading lady Jennylyn Mercado was hailed as Film Actress of the Year for #Walang Forever and Ken Chan was recognized as Most Promising Male Star, while Most Promising Female Star was given to Maine Mendoza. The love team of Barbie Forteza and Andre Paras was awarded Most Promising Love Team on TV for The Half Sisters.
The Half Sisters was also recognized as Most Popular Daytime Drama.
The late Master Showman Kuya German “Germs” Moreno will be given a posthumous award for his notable contributions to the showbiz industry.
