A closer look at Heart Evangelista’s wedding frocks

Internationally renowned and proud Pinoy fashion couturiers Ezra Santos, Mark Bumgarner, and Monique Lhuillier create the most enchanting bridal frocks for Kapuso bride Heart Evangelista.

Beguiling bride and now Mrs. Love Marie Ongpauco-Escudero captivated the country during her dreamy wedding to Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero last February 15 at the private island of Balesin, Quezon Province—the most anticipated part being her wedding frocks.

Inspired by the late Hollywood actress turned Princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly, internationally renowned Dubai-based Filipino couturier, Ezra Santos, created Heart’s ethereal wedding gown with a reported 70 thousand Swarowski crystals and five meter detachable train made of dentelle de Calais. Santos’ contemporary take on the bridal gown—six months in the making—left everyone in awe.
The immaculate and intricately made gown was paired with no less than a personalized pair of crystal embellished Christian Louboutin wedding pumps embossed with the letters ‘CH on the sole.
She revealed more skin during her reception with a Swarovski-studded custom-made off-shoulder Chantilly lace dress by Pinoy fashion designer and international formula racer Mark Bumgarner. He also designed Heart’s custom pink bridesmaid dresses worn by Kapuso stars Jennylyn Mercado, Solenn Heussaff, Lovie Poe, and Alessandra De Rossi.
The world has yet to see Heart’s highly anticipated Monique Lhuillier creation during their second reception this February 18 at the The Blue Leaf Filipinas in Parañaque City.
