Donita's life and love are built on faith

 

Sa pagbisita ni Donita Rose sa 'Sarap Diva', ibinahagi niya kay Regine Velasquez ang ilang parte ng kanyang buhay bilang isang artista at isang happy wife.

 

Kuwento ni Donita, pangalawa siyang Pinoy na naging cover ng Time Magazine kaya naman isang malaking milestone ito para sa kanya.

 

Aniya, “Actually, I just felt in that moment that God lifted me up and he put me in the position that I really don't deserve. That's something that will always remind me no matter how short you fall of people's expectations, if God is with you, then who could be against you? God will lift you up.”

 

Ibinahagi rin ni Donita kung paano sila nagkakilala ng kanyang asawang si Eric.

 

“I had made a commitment na sabi ko, Lord, hindi na ako magbo-boyfriend. Ikaw na ang magiging number one and first love ko. And then two and a half years later, nagkita kami ni Eric,” pahayag ni Donita.

 

Si Eric ay childhood best friend umano ng kanyang kapatid kaya naman noong nagkita silang muli ay may gulat siyang naramdaman. “Ay guwapo!” natatawang saad niya.

 

Dahil sa long-term relationship based on faith and trust ang hanap ni Donita and Eric, minabuti nilang lumapit sa isang pastor.

 

“We committed our relationship to the pastor, like 'yung maging totoong-totoo kami sa kanya kasi I didn't want to lose this relationship anymore because of wrongdoings. So, ang tingin ko doon ay I jumped into the deep end of the pool of faith. I did that and there has been many struggles along the way but you know what there's always been this constant source of joy in my life na kahit ang daming problema, masaya pa rin.”
