Zaido Files: Gallian

Dennis Trillo is no longer a stranger to saving the world. He’s already flown the skies in “Mulawin,” held a magic wand in “Majika” and fought off villains with a sword in “Etheria.” This time around, in Zaido, the actor flies a space ship and wields an arsenal of new weapons, including a laser sword as the newest metal hero! Dennis shares that he accepted the role because he was a fan of the original Shaider series. “Naabutan ko ‘yun nung bata ako. Parang dream come true para makagawa ng isang proyekto na hindi man exactly the same plot doon sa original, pero based dun mismo sa series.” He adds, “Naalala ko ‘yung magagandang mga fight scenes, saka ‘yung mga crazy na stunts, the action sequences.” For his role, Dennis also had to train for the same crazy stunts and fight scenes. “May fight training kami with a sword, mga acrobatics,” plus training on how to use the trampoline and ride a motorcycle, he says while admitting that neither he nor his co-stars knew how to ride the two-wheeled vehicle. “Awa ng Diyos, natuto kami agad,” the actor notes with a laugh during an interview with iGMA.tv at the set of Zaido. Turning serious once more, Dennis reveals that he enjoyed riding the motorbike. “Ngayon ko lang na-realize, masarap pala magmaneho ng motor, lalo na pag mabilis.” Playing Gallian All these training in stunts and fighting with weapons are of course required for his role as Gallian in Zaido, GMA’s much-awaited action-fantasy series. “Si Gallian, alien siya,” Dennis explains. He adds that his character is one of Shaider’s descendants who is not only tasked to save the universe from evil forces, but also needs to search for his cousins as well. “Nanggaling siya sa ibang planeta. Bumagsak lang siya dito sa Earth para hanapin pa ‘yung dalawa (pang) descendants ni Shaider” which are played by Marky Cielo and Aljur Abrenica.
